About Arka

Straight from our own farm profile — the story behind the produce.

Arka Farms is an 18-acre organic farm nestled in the rich soils of Walnut Grove, California — right in the heart of the Sacramento Delta. We are CCOF organic certified and can deliver to all surrounding counties.

Surrounded by natural waterways and open sky, our farm is designed for sustainability and rooted in regenerative practices. We grow over 20 varieties of vegetables, heirloom tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, herbs, and specialty Indian vegetables — all using organic methods.

No synthetic chemicals, no shortcuts — just healthy soil, clean water, and a deep respect for the land. Our fields are drip-irrigated using filtered water from the Sacramento River, and we follow strict post-harvest hygiene protocols to keep our produce safe and fresh.

Whether we're supplying chefs, co-ops, or local families, our goal is simple: grow honest food that tastes as good as it looks.

The Arka Farms team

The Team~ Geethika Nandyala, Samir Idury, Samhita Nandyala, Bhuvan Idury, Aruna Vanka, Saila Vanguri, Kesav Idury, Sudhakar Nandyala

Arka Farms was born out of our shared dream to reconnect with the land and grow something meaningful — not just for our families, but for our community. With roots in the Sacramento Delta, we work side by side to cultivate nutrient-rich, organic vegetables and specialty crops, guided by values of sustainability, transparency, and care.

We're not just farmers — we're learners, tinkerers, and doers. We study soil biology, design our own irrigation systems, and hand-pick every crate of heirloom tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, and herbs that leaves our field.

Everything is a labor of love — grown cleanly, harvested responsibly, and delivered fresh.

We believe food should nourish more than the body — it should also nourish trust. That's why we welcome you to visit us, walk the rows, ask questions, and know your farmer. Whether you're a chef, a buyer, or a neighbor, we'd love to grow with you.

Come taste the story we're writing — one vegetable at a time.

Prices reflect this single harvest window and are sold by the pound in bulk lots. Availability updates as orders come in — add what you need to your cart, then submit an order request below.

Putting it to use

A few pairings from our team, drawn straight from this harvest.

Heirloom tomato platter

German Johnson, Dr. Wyche's Yellow, Tasmanian Chocolate, Black Prince, and Japanese Black Trifele together cover pink, gold, and near-black. Needs nothing more than olive oil, flaky salt, and torn basil.

Big-batch sauce

San Marzano II and Wisconsin 55 are bred to cook down fast — the ones to use for marinara, shakshuka, or salsa roja that needs to feed a crowd.

Cherry tomato salad

Mimosa, Sakura, Citrine, and Indigo Cherry Drops hold their shape halved into a salad or fresh salsa — tangerine, red, gold, and purple in one bowl.

Roasted pepper medley

Cornito Arancia, Sweet Sunrise, Olympus, and Round of Hungary roast well together as a side or piled onto sandwiches.

Grilled summer vegetables

Y-Star patty pan, zucchini, and both bean varieties grill or sauté as a simple side with the same treatment.

Southeast Asian menu

For menus that draw on South or Southeast Asian cooking, bitter melon is worth building a dish around — traditionally stir-fried with egg or pork, or stuffed.
